Get to Know More About E. Lockhart
Bestselling author E. Lockhart is known for her thriller novel, We Were Liars which was published on May 13, 2024 that centers around the Sinclair family and the unraveling of their deepest, darkest secrets. Years later after its release, her book is now a highly-anticipated TV adaptation that was released on Prime Video last June 18, 2025.
She also wrote its prequel, Family of Liars, that expanded the universe of We Were Liars, exposing more secrets of the Sinclair family. Her book Genuine Fraud, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times book prize. Her next novel, We Fell Apart, is set in the same universe as We Were Liars and is set to be published in November 2025.
Lockhart holds a doctorate in English literature from Columbia University and has aspired to be a writer since childhood, offering advice to aspiring authors.
