Rebecca F. Kuang is a #1 New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author, acclaimed for her works, namely, the Poppy War trilogy, Babel, and Yellowface. Her works have been honored with numerous awards, including the Nebula, Locus, and British Book Awards, and she was named on the 2023 Time100 Next list.

As a Marshall Scholar, Kuang earned an MPhil from Cambridge and an MSc from Oxford, both in Chinese Studies. She is now a PhD candidate in East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University, where her doctoral research is focused on Sinophone and Asian American literature.
