HOW TO ORDER

  • How do I place an order

Regular Order:

1. Browse our website, add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout available in-stock items.

2. You can checkout as a Guest. However, creating an account allows you to track orders easily, save shipping addresses, and join our Loyalty & Rewards Program.

3. Optional fields: You may add a special instruction to your order and/or use a voucher code to avail a promo before checkout.

4. Once payment is successful, you will be redirected to the Thank you page and an order confirmation will be sent to your registered email.

Pre-orders:

1. Secure upcoming book releases or out-of-stock items. Pre-orders require a longer delivery lead time, which is specified on the individual product page.

2. A downpayment or full payment is required upon placing a pre-order. Delivery of the pre-ordered item depends on the arrival of the stocks in our warehouse.

3. Regular items included with a pre-order will be shipped upon availability of the pre-order stocks.

Special Orders:

If you are looking for a specific title not listed on our website, you can request a Special Order. We will source the book from our partner publishers and provide you with a quote and estimated lead time.

Bulk Orders:

For corporate, school, or large-volume purchases, contact our B2B team directly at corpsales@nationalbookstore.com.ph or through our Contact Us page for customized processing.

PAYMENT METHOD

  • What payment methods are accepted?

We offer secure and flexible payment options:

  • Cash on Delivery

Pay securely with cash when your order arrives. A Customer Service Representative may contact you to confirm your contact details and shipping address. High-value office equipment or large-volume bulk orders may be subject for verification prior to delivery.

The system may not allow COD to fraudulent accounts and accounts with high cancellation rate.

  • E-Wallets:

GCash, Maya, GrabPay, ShopeePay and QRPH-supported e-wallets

  • Credit / Debit Card

We accept VISA and Mastercard Credit and Debit cards. National Book Store website DOES NOT store any credit card details such as card number, expiry date, security codes, etc. during order process. All credit card transactions are securely processed by our payment gateway provider.

  • Installment / Buy Now, Pay Later

Available through our payment gateways.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

  • How long does delivery take and what are the shipping options?

Delivery lead times begin from the date of order confirmation.

Standard Delivery: Metro Manila (3 to 5 business days); Provincial areas (5 to 10 business days, depending on the exact location).

Store Pick-up: Order online and collect your items at designated store branches for free.

  • How to track your order

You may check your e-mail for the order status notifications. Alternatively, you may login to www.nationalbookstore.com and go to the order history section from your account page to view the status of your orders.

For guest accounts, you may email us onlineorders@nationalbookstore.com or call us at 8888-8627 so our customer service team can assist you.

  • How is the shipping fee computed?

Shipping fees are calculated depending on the delivery location and the total weight of the items on your order. Total shipping weight may vary whichever is higher between actual weight and volumetric weight.

Volumetric Weight

Computation: (L x W x H) / 3500 Example: = (10cm x 20cm x 15cm) / 5000

= 3000 / 3500

= 0.85 kg

  • Delivery Times

Orders received are processed from Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 6:00pm and will be picked-up by the couriers for delivery.

Deliveries during sale and holiday seasons may take longer than usual.

National Book Store may postpone processing and deliveries in case of flood and other natural disasters to ensure the safety of its personnel.

  • International Shipping

Currently, we only ship within the Philippines. International deliveries are not available.

  • What happens if I miss my delivery?

The courier may contact you upon delivery to your address. In any case, the recipient is not available; the courier will schedule another delivery attempt before the items will be returned to our warehouse.

Your orders may be received by your representative as long as an authorization letter is presented along with both the IDs of the consignee and the representative.

  • Serviceable areas

Some areas may not be covered by the courier due to local government restrictions, inaccessible to motorized vehicles or unavailable delivery hubs within the area. You may refer to the updated list of serviceable areas from our courier provider websites i.e. NinjaVan.

RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

  • Can I cancel my order?

A customer may cancel his/her order or change the shipping address provided that it has not yet been handed over to our logistics partner. To request a cancellation, immediately contact our Customer Service at 02-8888-8627 or at onlineorders@nationalbookstore.com.ph.

  • Return policy

We ensure that the items you ordered have undergone quality check before shipping. We accept returns in any case that you received a defective item, damaged during transit or incorrect item.

Requests must be filed within seven (7) days of receiving the item. Please email us at onlineorders@nationalbookstore.com.ph and a customer service representative will get in touch to assist you.

Items must be in their original packaging and accessories included, and unused. Please attach the sales invoice upon return or exchange.

All items that are on clearance sale are not valid for return or refund. These items have been fully marked down due to various reasons, including any damage that may not be physically apparent and are sold on as AS IS basis.

  • Refunds

Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method or issued as store credit upon evaluation and approval of the returned item.

Refund requests may be processed only in case of unavailable stocks. For requests after 7 days from the date of payment, please e-mail onlineorders@nationalbookstore.com.ph.

Refunds may take up to 15 business days and will be processed in the form of a bank check. A voucher credit may also be issued that can be used to re-purchase items from the online store.

For credit/debit card transactions, processing may take 10-15 banking days from the time the refund request was initiated. It may not post to your account immediately and may take several days depending on your billing cycle and bank policies.

SERVICES OFFERED

  • Do you offer personalization or gift wrapping services?

Yes, we offer Giftwrapping Services for every special occasion. We also provide Pen Engraving Services for applicable premium writing instruments (such as fountain pens and metal-body sign pens). These options may be added as a special instruction before checkout or can be selected before adding an item to your cart. These services may be subject to additional fees.

LOYALTY PROGRAM

  • Can I earn rewards when I buy online?

Yes! Register for free at lakingnational.com or download our app.

From the website or app, input the sales invoice details provided when you receive your order. Your purchase will earn 1% of your total purchase or 1 Sulit Coin Cashback for every ₱100 spent.

  • Can I use Sulit Coins to purchase online?

Sulit Coins redemption is not yet available online, but you may visit any National Book Store, Art Bar or Kids Ink NBS Express, National Everyday branches to redeem your Sulit Coins.

  • How to publish a book with you?

  • How to sell my book through National Book Store?

If you have self-published books that you would like to sell under National Book Store, please send a digital sample of your book as well as proposal letter which should include the ollowing: retail price, ISBN, a short description of yourbook, an author bio, your contact information (name, email address and mobile number are necessary).

All samples should be sent to Merchandising Books Department at merchandisingbooks@nationalbookstore.com.ph. It will take seven business days for us to evaluate your book and get back to you.
