Building English Skills (Kindergarten) is the second book in a series designed for the child’s growth in his education journey. Like the first volume, it is response to the requirements set out by the Department of Education of the Philippines in molding a child’s interest, attitudes, and abilities with regard to the English language. This book aims to combine learning with enjoyment through interesting and varied activities. Reading lessons are enriched and made livelier to fully prepare children for wider and deeper reading experiences that they will encounter in the elementary grades. The teacher’s and parent’s provision of motivation, inspiration, and guidance are of great value in the development of a child’s love for reading, which will bring about skills in comprehension, understanding and discernment. It is also hoped that the sense of values will be inculcated.
